Weekend Highlights: Boston

I've already started working on one of my personal goals for the year and that's traveling more. First stop: Boston.  I had a great time visiting Beantown and the seafood was ah-ma-zing. You have to try the clam chowder and lobster roll from Neptune Oyster. I visited a few historical sites and had time to check out the Free Angela documentary. This documentary about the legendary politcial activist Angela Davis is a must-see. I also got to see Lianne La Havas in concert! She is simply amazing. We couldn't get enough of the stunning and talented singer, so she gave us an encore. My friend was a great host and tour guide, but next time i'll have to visit when it's warmer. It was sooo cold! Next up, Miami! xoxo

Seasons

Why are you crying over Saul when King David is in front of you?
1 Samuel 16

Seasons of change can bring pain, but happiness as well. You may not always see the positive at that moment, but don't miss out on something great by continuing to hold on to the past and/or because of fear of leaving your comfort zone. Move ahead. The best is yet to come. (Repeat out loud.)

love rain

You are the beautiful distress of mathematics. For you I would peel open the clouds like new fruit and give you lightening and thunder as a dowry. I would make the sky shed all of its stars, light, and rain and I would clasp the constellations across your waist and I would make the heavens your cape and they would be pleased to cover you. They would be pleased to cover you. May I please cover you? Please?
