Made with Love
Gifts from friends are the best, especially if they made it themselves. A piece of her is always with me. :)
Paint my lips
Whenever I put on lipstick, I immediately think of my mom and aunts. When I was a little girl I would always watch my mom put on makeup. She never wore a lot, but she always had a little rouge and definitely some shade of red lipstick. My Aunt Rosie will refuse to take a picture until she "paints her lips." Even without any other makeup on, lipstick will give you a boost of confidence. I've been searching for the perfect everyday shade. I usually wear my normal nude or pink lip gloss, so I needed something that had a pop of color, yet still classy. I found a red shade by Mac called "Ruby Woo" that I love. I also found more of a plum wine color (908C) by Wet n' Wild that is perfect for the fall. I think both of these shades work well with my skin tone. What beauty product can you not live without?

Toni
Very few people know that I have this thing for Toni Braxton. I discovered her self-titled debut album in the back of my cousin's trunk at a cookout. She had on light blue jeans and a white tank with a leather jacket with red lip, and I can't forget that short haircut that everybody rocked back in the day. This album cover screamed sex appeal in a subtle way. Although at this time I had no idea what the lyrics meant, her deep sultry voice just appealed to me. Later I could soon relate to the feelings of love and heartbreak. She was one of the most successful R&B female singers of the 90s, and I was so excited they finally did a Behind the Music special on her recently! I wish they could bring R&B music like this back. Check out this video, "How Many Ways" with Shemar Moore as Toni's love interest.
